The strike action embarked by The Colleges of Education of Academic
Staff Union (COEASU) for about seven months now has been called-off.
This followed the meeting held today between COEASU and the Minister of education, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau.
The COEASU Chairman, Mr Emmanuel Asagha directed all Colleges of Education Lecturers nationwide to resume work next week Monday.
According to him, the decision to call-off the strike is as a result of
the promise made by the FG to meet the demands of the union in three
months.
